Meet the Band...
The KINGTUT Blues Band is:
Robert Tut Campbell
Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Lead Vocals, Slide Guitar, Banjo
and more. Hailing from Atlanta with many years of live and studio experience,
he's quite accomplished. And in the tradition of Freddie King and others,
he puts everything he has into every tune.
Tut also collects and deals in hard-to-find, desirable/vintage guitars. If you want to talk guitar turkey, he's ready. You can see his guitar wall on the gallery page.
Tut is proud is blessed with a core of talented professional backing blues and rock musicians, all seasoned, long-time friends of the project:
J. J. Barnett (Drums)
Raised in Memphis, and having performed in countless venues all over the United States, J. J. cut his blues drums teeth on Beale Street and in joints all over north Mississippi during the 70s and 80s. Career highlights include stints with Jerry Lee Lewis and impromptu gigs and sit-ins with Hall and Oates, Bobby Whitlock and many other artists stopping in the Bluff City. Check out J. Dale "Griz" Adams (Keys, Sax, Harp, Vocals)
Griz Adams is a very exciting performer with a musical and vocal style that oozes blues and soul. He has played with The Fabulous Pacers and many other groups over the years. Multi-talented and a joy to work with personally and professionally.
Jeremy Akins (Bass)
Jeremy is a fabulous bassist and performer and knows just what great riff to play at any given moment. He adds a solid foundation to the group. It's always a pleasure to work with him.
Mandrell Cornett (Guitars, Keys, Harp, Slide, Vocals)
Mandrell Cornett is a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Peel, Arkansas in the heart of the Ozarks. He has performed for audiences many years and is a joy to work with.
David Daniels
A gifted guitarist and singer, David D. is a gifted blues guitarist, singer and songwriter straight from the Delta of N. Mississippi. He is currently working on a new CD which will be available later this year. Get a sneak peak at his new website available soon.
Eric Westpy
