About Kingtut
Tut Campbell is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, growing up in the 1960's and 70's, performing as well as listening to the many blues acts that a large southern city can draw.
While rock and roll is Tut's heritage, blues is his love. Seeing B.B. King perform in 1968 sealed Tut's fate as a blues guitarist and singer.
Through much of the 1980's and early 1990's, Tut experienced changes in his personal life and crisis that ultimately brought him to the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas in 1995 to pursue his musical abilities among other interests.
Finishing his college education, re-marrying, and working now at a music store has allowed Tut to expand The Kingtut Blues Band into a Blues Powerhouse group of blues and rock classics leading a new generation into an appreciation for the blues.
A NIGHT AT THE LYRIC! The Harrison-Based Kingtut Blues Band performed at the Lyric Theatre last Saturday night before a packed house. The event was promoted by Ken Bailey and Joe Golden of the Ozark Arts Council. It was a fun time for all who attended. Kudos to staff and other performers who are doing their part to promote the arts in the ozarks and local talent. |
